24'' 212cc Two Stage Gas Snow Blower w/ Electric Start DB7109A

Want to give -ve ratings but that is not available. Bought from Home Depot in 2023 Sept. Hardly used it for 3-4 times. This year in winters, it didn't start at all. Took to the powersmart recommended shop and as per them the engine has issues and not fixable. Today powersmart sent me email saying they will refund me only 40% of the original cost even though it is still under warranty. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND due to:
1. Very poor customer service
2. Very poor quality

I received a damaged bent product. I reached out to them via email. They did not want to help me, told me to fix the product myself.

After using twice, I ran over some yucca plant leaves hidden under the snow. They got caught in the augers, and the augers bent and the shear pins broke. Now only the left side would work. Tried to order parts but was told to wait until October to get them. After finally getting through to customer service in October, they only sent me 1 auger when I had requested 2. No instructions on how to disassemble, so had to just wing it. Finally got it apart, put on the new auger blade and "reshaped" the bent one so it was usable. When the snow came, I tried using it again. It worked ok for about 30 minutes, then accidentally hit the remains of a cut down basketball hoop pole (about 1" above driveway surface). Again, both right auger blades (the new one and the re-shaped one) were destroyed and the shear pins broke. I've been on hold with customer service for nearly an hour as I write this. Still waiting...

It's almost impossible to order parts online. I went to their website. They only are offering parts for a single lawn mower (no snow blower parts available on the site). Found some generic site that had the auger blades, but no shear pins available.

My last snow thrower was an Ariens, and it worked perfectly for years. This one has failed twice in its first two winters and it's a total pain to get parts and repair. Would not recommend.

I live in upstate New York where it gets very cold and very snowy in the winter time. While the snow blower is capable of handling tough jobs, I have had the same issue twice over the course of 3 years that has left the machine inoperable. Due to ice buildup, the auger got stuck resulting in the belt to snap. The first time it happened was the second time I operated the machine. The warranty covered the cost of repair /forward 2 years later and the same issue happened again. I will gladly invest more money for a machine that can handle extreme conditions.

Today was my second time using this PowerSmart Snow Blower, and shockingly, it dropped THREE screws at once! After checking the manual, I realized that none of the screws have a lock washer design, meaning the remaining screws could also loosen and fall off. Ironically, I received this offered mail with $30 money in exchange for a 5-star review. Is this a deceptive marketing tactic? Additionally, I am here to request Warranty, please contact me soon and send me these lost screws with updated lock washers!
