From Specs to Real Benefits
Received well packaged and on time. Very easy setup but i had watched a few you tube videos before choosing a model and knew what to expect. After oil and gas fill up unit cranked on 3rd pull. Ran well and was fairly quiet. Plugged in leaf blower and a few other items to check unit. Worked flawlessly. That being said reveiwed models on Powersmart website and choose the DL 5040C over the DL 5040. Their website boasted wheels, a carbon monoxide warning and shut down feature and a 4 gallon fuel tank over the regular DL 5040 having none of those options and only a 1.7 gal fuel tank. Contacted Power Smart and was told the description on their website was wrong. I chose to keep the DL 5040C because i feel after all my research it is still the best generator for the money. 2 yr warranty vs a 90 day for some. I bought this just for power outages and not to use on a regular basis so it could take a while to fairly rate this unit but so far very impressed and if I needed another one tomorrow, I would order another one. Good luck out there.
It's great! Small so i can put it anywhere i need! quiet! Great for what I need it for! Gas usage is great! I can run my fridge, window units, TV! The price was great!

I bought the generator for my weekend construction projects, and it¡¯s been fantastic. With this generator, my drill and saw work anywhere¡ªno need to worry about finding an outlet on the job site. It runs quietly,I highly recommend!
