From Specs to Real Benefits
The generator arrived in great condition. I ran it for a half an hour on conventional 10W30. Changed oil. Then it ran another hour on 10W30 synthetic blend. Changed oil and filled it with Amzoil 10W30 small engine oil. Swapped the spark plug with an NGK. Runs very smooth on both gas and propane. My average dB on 1/2 load while running our camper’s 13.5 btu AC was 69 dB on Eco mode and 70 dB with Eco mode off. I also replaced the oil dipstick with a magnetic one from genexhaust.com. PowerSmart CS is very good. I’m happy with the purchase!

I've had it for about a year and it works great.I keep it as a backup generator, and I can move it anywhere, as it is really light and portable.Great construction, feels sturdy and quality made.Haven't had a problem so far.
Blown away for the price point. Pulled it out of the box, added oil, hooked to propane, and started on third pull. Ran it for 30 minutes hooked to my RV running my 8000watt A/C AND my 110v mini fridge/ lights etc. no issues whatsoever. You could definitely hear it spike when AC kicked on, but handled it well and ran impressively smooth and quiet. Will be perfect for tailgating, weekend camping, or as a backup when we lose power at the house. Would definitely buy another. Very happy so far.
Horrible customer service response. Can not get information to make generator efficient for high altitude. Do not purchase. Now I have to pack it all back up and return what a hassle.

Took this generator on a 4 day ice fishing trip and ran it constantly. Worked and performed great. Powered a trailer ice castle the entire time. Went through about 12 gallons of fuel the entire trip. Great item and great price.

In a few minutes it was up and running. Started on the first pull! It took just a few minutes to add the fuel and oil. Two screws open the access panel and the oil was easy to add. Added fuel, choked it and pulled the cord- Up it came. It was very quiet and handled the load without issue.It is quiet and powerful and well worth the cost in my opinion!
I'm telling you this bad boy saving me as i write im currently going through a blackout post hurricane Melissa for a month now i run this generator everyday and night through the night without a problem i power my home plus two other rooms (just light and fans) every night for a month now and the generator can handle load i love it so much its a life saver i never had a issue with it, i did the break-in procedure prior to the hurricane and im telling you this doesn't drink gas one gallon keep me through the night it cost way less buying gas this generator does drink gas compared to other open frame ect. i love it so much i will buy a bigger watt size in the future.i fully recommended this its value for money. I run this from 6pm to 7am everyday pause to refill

Update10/12/24:We recently went thru hurricane Milton and were affected by the tornados that came thru our county. Power was out for 2 days at my home and this little generator ran my large fridge and my window unit at the same time. Would highly recommend. It’s still currently in use at another Neighbors home till they get power back.Bought this because I wanted to have a smaller generator when I went camping in the summer here in Florida. This generator did great. Easily handled my 5000 BTU air conditioner that attaches to my roof top tent. It ran about 6.5 hours with the load of the ac on high cool and high fan on. Overall very quiet compared to my larger generator. I paired the generator and ac with a 50ft 12/3 extension cord but in reality , it could have been closer and still not been very loud at night.
Starts easy, runs OK (it's no Honda), but when shutting a generator down, most tell you to shut the gas line and run the fuel out so the carb stays clean. The manual for this one says: "When turn the switch to "FUEL OFF" position, engine cannot stop immediately, after fuel is exhausted the engine stop." Well, there IS NO "FUEL OFF" position indicated on any switch, anywhere. The ONLY option is to turn the two-in-one switch to OFF (the big red one), which shuts the generator down immediately. So the fuel does not get drained properly, and that can't be good over time. Is there simply a FUEL OFF marking MISSING, and if I turn it part way, it will drain? If so, please let me know and I'll increase my rating.Update: after taking the photo for this review, I tried turning the red **** to the tiny (unmarked) tick mark just before the OFF position. And then I proceeded to wait what seemed like a very long time. It eventually did run dry and shut off. That’s very good. Bumping up to 4 stars. Still have my doubts about how durable this thing is. And it’s not very good at responding to loads when in eco mode. But still, send like a good buy.5/28/24 UpdateLandon R’s reviews was excellent. He’s right on the money. I always figure a generator can be continuously loaded to about 50% of its rating. And that seems to be about where this one falls. But I agree claiming 2500 watts is way in excess of what it can really supply. I have a small, 1 HP hot dog compressor that this unit cannot start, and 1 hp is only 745 watts. I get that it’s a motor load, but that’s less than 1/3 of the rated power! All in all, I still say it’s worth the price.
After many hours of comparing midrange duel fuel generators, I chose this PowerSmart unit. It has the features I was looking for, is lighter and built better than some of the competition. There are several YouTube reviews on this model which I gave strong consideration to. After receiving it in its well packaged box, I was surprised at how well it is built using quality materials. I prepped it for start up and using only propane, it fired up and ran fine. I'm in the process of break-in so I will be starting it for several days in a row to run 30 - 60 minute intervals with light and varying loads. After which an oil change will be in order. So far, so good. I'm pleased with my purchase and very reasonable price. Time will tell if it as is durable and reliable as many others have experienced.
So far, so good! I ran it for 8 hours on LP, and it was perfect. The one time I put a load on, it worked great. This is a fantastic value!
Great little generator. Would give it a 5 star but someone building it forgot to tighten the fuel drain **** an shortly after start up it started to drain out fuel all over the bottom. Took off side panel an adjusted the **** and was good to go.

Bought this as a dual purpose after losing power at home for a couple days. You can keep the fridge running and depending on your setup, you could run your TV etc at the same time.The dual purpose is I also use it for my RV. 30 amp plug on the front is perfect for that.
Great generator. Decently quiet and the dual fuel option is very nice. If you are buying to use with an RV or camper you will need an adapter for the 30 amp receptacle. The info on here says it has a TT-30r 30 amp receptacle but it does not. It has a L5-30r for locking type plugs. You will not be able to plug your camper or RV in without the adapter. It does have two 20amp 120v receptacles though which is great but it's nice to have a 30 amp recep for higher loads like running an A/C or microwave and other loads simultaneously. Other than the incorrect info it's pretty nice!
We filled it with oil and gas. My son pulled it once and it started right up. It ran our two buffers all day! Nice product so far!

Finally got a chance to try this thing out and it's awesome! The size is great for what it is, and it provides just enough power to efficiently charge my power banks. Highly recommended!
