I just purchased a 24" 2 stage Amerisun snow blower. I have not used it yet but during assembly I noted a few issues. The instructions don't mention the need to adjust the 2 control cables for the drive and auger operation but that is necessary. My blower would not engage the auger until this step was done. There is also a problem with the alignment of the chute control rod because the guide it goes through cannot be adjusted enough to get a straight alignment. I had to use spacers to get close to alignment but the guide was just too short. This could easily be fixed if the threaded part of the guide was 1" longer and fitted with a second nut on the inside of the handle. Assembly was fairly easy but not well covered by the instructions. You nee a few simple tools which should be listed but are not including 13mm & 10mm sockets for the nuts plus a 8mm open end and small adjustable wrench to adjust the turnbuckles of the control cables. The blower started right up and seemed to work OK but I have not yet used it in snow so I plan to update my review after the next snow fall.
I bought nov 30 2015; arrived 9 days late, I put it together in time for first snow falll. Brand new out of box it wouldn't start. Tried to go to customer service, no help other than " send a video". Went to local repair shop, opened up carburetor and it was rusted! Said the unit was probably 3 years old. They got it running. I used today on the second snowfall 4" light snow. Heard clunking coming from auger, the auger shield completely broke off! This is the worst experience I've ever had with a piece of equipment. No idea what to do now. Oh yeah, the auger cable is also kinked and breaking
Ordering was a breeze and I was very impressed with how fast this mower was shipped, especially since it was the holiday season.
Bought snow thrower through Amazon. Came a day late. When it got here the shipping box it was in was covered in oil from where the oil dip stick was broken. The front plastic face was broken around the auger area. It’s unusable. Now i have to try to find another box to send it back. I tried to call 2 different numbers for customer service but one number isn’t working and the other I was put on hold for an hour and still nobody answered. These numbers are [****] and [****]. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
We purchased a snowblower. Used a few times over 18 months. Major quality issues. Very poor quality products with no customer service.
DO NOT BUY any Power Smart products. It's not smart!
One star. Would not recommend!
I purchased the PowerSmart 21 inch 212cc Single Stage Gas Snow Blower. It arrived over a week late and was missing multiple screws and **** that are needed to tighten the snow shoot.
After piecing it together with my own hardware, I turned it on and used it for less than 5 feet in very light, powdery snow on my driveway. Almost immediately, a plastic piece underneath near the blade broke off, making the machine unusable.
I’ve attempted to contact PowerSmart customer support multiple times over the past 10 days via email and phone, but have received no response from a human, only automated messages.
I am deeply frustrated, and there has been no customer support or resolution so far. Only purchase from PowerSmart if you are prepared for a major headache with no help from customer support.
IF I WAS ABLE TO GO BACK IN TIME TO BUY MY SNOWBLOWER, I THINK I SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH GREENWORKS THEIR BATTERIES ARE ONLY $85.00 ON AMAZON NOT $299.99 ON POWERSMART, USA.
Brought the 21" Gas Lawn Mower. Placed order on Amazon Oct 7th, received on Oct 10th. Easy to put together. Put fuel and oil in it and started right up. It was on sale, less than $200. Didn't get to use it much this season, but will next season. I brought it to mow around trailers at my office, that don't get moved around a lot. It is going to work perfect. I don't like using weed eaters.
NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!
NO ONE CALLS YOU BACK!
NO ONE RESPONDS TO EMAILS!
Do NOT waste your time with Power Smart! This business (if it ever existed) appears to be non-existent and/or non-responsive!
I ordered via Walmart, so if you are even thinking of this company to do business with, think again!

To start with the motor has no throttle and the headlight is powered by 3 thripple a batteries, instead of being hooked to the motor like it should be. Also because there is no throttle you cant let it warm up it is just stuck wide open which is terrible for any motor, and this motor wont last nearly as long as it should. Not to mention god forbid you want to idle it down to talk to someone or to unclog it or something. And another thing is the impeller is driven by a belt instead of a shaft or gears of some sort which means this big motor I got is useless because the belt slips as soon as you get into any snow deeper than 4 inches that is even remotely heavy. It took me 3 hours to do what should have taken me one hour with a good snowblower this is great if you never plan on moving more than a couple inches of snow at a time. I paid 630$ for a snow blower worth maybe 250$ the way it is built. I wish this wasnt the case because now I have to try and send this back to get a refund and go find a snowblower that is worth what I spent on this. Needless to say im less than impressed the only way I would think about keeping this is if they gave me 400 dollars back.
shopping and process was great, But the Delivery from FedX was the worst. They would send it out for delivery then cancel and the weather wasn't even the factor just an excuse. Other that that the Machine is Great
Customer service was awful! Auto generated email responses didn’t address our questions and when we called multiple times just sat on hold forever without anyone ever picking up
The skid plate is not long enough, cannot be adjusted per their technical people, and the blades dig into the driveway, stopping me from moving and I feel like I am going to get hurt. I have sent emails and have not heard back. I would not buy this snow blower. I have waited for 10 days to hear back on the next step in the process. I have only used this twice, but bought last January, after no snow...never used it until 10 days ago.
Bought a 26 inch gas snowblower at Menard's in September 2025. Didn't need it til December 2nd or 3rd. Worked pretty good total run time about 1.5 hours, large long driveway. Needed it again 1 week later 7 inches of fluffy snow. Rand great for about 1.5 hours then died with a solid steel clunk. Pull cord is locked tight, auger is locked tight, thrower impeller is freewheeling. Something snapped inside.
Brought it back to Menard's they refused to accept any responsibility telling me that I have to take it to an authorized repair facility first. Oh by they way there are no authorized repair facilities in the Brainerd lakes area.
Gave me the phone umber that they have on file to contact Power smart directly, [****] it's not longer in service.
Went home and checked the website, sent a lengthy email from the website. Not a word. It was after they had closed for the day out east. I had another phone number on the manual also out of service.
Wrote a lengthy complaint to Menard's explaining the situation.
I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED IN ANY WAY FROM EITHER COMPANY REGARDING THIS BROKEN PIECE OF EQUIPMENT.
4 months old, total hours used about 3. Very disappointed in Power Smart due to the inability to talk with someone about this blower. Very disappoint with Menard's for their lack of interest in keeping me as a customer. I have built 2 homes using many thousands of dollars in material cost and had a light construction business also many thousands of dollars spent.
These machines are ****. I tried mine twice and was never even able to clear my driveway. The first time it wouldn't slide on the pavement so I gave up and shoveled. The next time, I removed the scraper bar and when I got to the end of my driveway the belt came off. I ended up using my 25 year old Toro to get the job done.
I picked up an older 18” electric (AC) PowerSmart snowblower a couple years ago from FB Marketplace. This little snowblower throws snow as far as my large two stage. I use it to clear off our large patio. We got about 6.5” last night and it had no trouble at all with that amount of snow. If this one ever fails, I will buy another PowerSmart.
Ordered a snow blower on Nov. 29th was told it would arrive wednesday. Wednesday came and went no shipping no nothing. E mailed to cancel was told could not cancel amd that it would arrive friday. Friday came and went still no snow blower but was told it was coming sunday. Sunday came and went still no snow blower. No update as to when its actually coming now on monday. Terrible customer service cant get ahold of anybody so if you like spending $300+ dollars tonget nothing in return but lies this is your company!
So far it has been 9 days and my item still has not been shipped. Calling customer service did absolutely no good.
I purchased a Power Smart 24" snow blower, as well as one extra battery. The second time I went to use this pathetically built snowblower, the battery charger failed. I replaced the battery charger. The fourth time I tried to use this item, the lever that engages the auger failed. This awful company does not answer phones. The Voicemail prompt provides options which no one answers the phone and there is no option to leave a message.
