I'm not certain how some reviewers are giving good reviews for this mower. I can't speak on their experiences. Mine is far different, however. I've had this mower for over a year now, and it has not started on me more than 5 times. The first time it didn't start was within 3 months of owning the mower, not even a full season. At that time, the self propel broke and wouldn't run. I tried to exercise the warranty, but the place they sent me to (which was 40 miles away) stated it wasn't broken and just needed a tune up. After 3 months. So I paid for their examination of my mower and that was it. I did the tune up myself. Cleaned out the carburetor, changed the oil, replaced the fuel line. It ran, but after about 3 months, same thing. This turned into a repetitive behavior with this mower. I have done this tune up to the mower about 4 times in the past year to get me to where I am now. The mower doesn't start again. This time, after doing the tune up, I also replaced the spark plug. Again, nothing is happening. I would call them again to try and get repaired, but it's not worth my time to drive 40 miles to the nearest shop that takes their warranty, only for powersmart to hide behind the fine print of their warranty and not actually repair my mower. Oh, and the techs at the shop advised never to buy their product after this mower. They don't carry their parts since they're rare, and they commented the machines always break down. I bet if I were to tell them I tried repairing it myself to avoid the anticipated cost, they would void my warranty since I'm not a certified technician. Take this review for what it is, but I'm stuck using my neighbors mower until I can replace this one. Just a piece of junk that takes up space in my garage.
